LA BOUTONNIERE PASSEPOILEE

J’ai étudié les boutonnières passepoilées, pour ensuite utiliser ce savoir faire pour la réalisation de ma veste tailleur.

Pour faire cette boutonnière il faut :

• Marquer l’emplacement de la boutonnière par un fil invisible et/ou au crayon sur la toile tailleur, sur l’envers du vêtement.
• Superposer le passepoil sur l’emplacement de la boutonnière sur l’endroit. Piquer en carré de la valeur totale de la boutonnière. Puis fendre en hirondelle.
• Retourner le passepoil sur l’envers en laissant dépasser la même valeur de chaque côté. Faire un point à la main dans la couture, dans le sillon. Terminer les côtés de la boutonnière à la machine sur l’envers. Rabattre la parementure sur l’envers en crantant en hirondelle.

THE BUTTONNER PASSEPOILED

I studied piped buttonholes, and then used this knowledge to make my tailored jacket.

To make this buttonhole you have to:

• Mark the location of the buttonhole with an invisible thread and/or with a pencil on the tailor’s canvas, on the back of the garment.
• Superimpose the piping on the buttonhole location on the right side.
• Stitch in a square of the total value of the buttonhole. Then split into swallows.
• Turn the piping inside out, leaving the same value on each side. Stitch by hand in the seam in the groove. Machine finish the sides of the buttonhole on the wrong side. Fold the facing upside down with a swallow notch.
